Hi, I'm Ann-Marie, an artist based in Durban, South Africa. My practice includes drawing & printmaking, making object and jewellery-things; botanically-dyed textiles & ceramics, also feature.

Grounded in a profound love for both making and thinking, my practice explores the interactions and intersections of human, animal, plant, land, and sea ontologies. My themes also engage the situated historical content of my surrounds; as; as well as an interest in spiritual epistemes. 

I am widely exhibited, with artworks in prominent South African collections, such as those of the Johannesburg Art Gallery and the Oliewenhuis Art Museum. My sixth solo exhibition, Diluvian Delft opened at Knysna Fine Art in 2017.

Beyond this I find joy in family-life, my animal companions, my partner The Tinker Man, the sea, strandlooping, walking, birdwatching, yoga, reading, curating, lecturing, and facilitating workshops. I am also a member of The Printing Girls & the co-Founder of Art Print Studio KZN.
